On July 4, Pony.ai, a global leader in autonomous driving technology, and Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) held a reveal ceremony of Pony.ai's Robotaxi in Dubai, cementing their partnership to advance Level (L4) autonomous mobility solutions. His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Director General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, and Dr. Leo Wang, Chief Financial Officer of Pony.ai, attended the ceremony. Building on the collaboration announced earlier this year, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to integrating cutting-edge self-driving technology into Dubai's multi-modal transportation framework. The strengthened alliance focuses on enhancing urban mobility efficiency, reducing traffic congestion, and establishing sustainable transportation models aligned with Dubai's vision to transform 25% of all journeys in the city into autonomous trips by 2030. His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer expressed his satisfaction with the signing of the MoU with Pony.ai, emphasising that the partnership would support Dubai’s ongoing efforts to adopt autonomous mobility solutions and reinforce its global leadership in future mobility. He also expressed appreciation for the company’s decision to choose Dubai as its global platform for expanding operations beyond China. 🌟Edge® Surgical Robotic System Makes Grand Debut in Hong Kong Academic Event, Opening a New Chapter in Greater Bay Area Medical Collaboration Recently, at the Urology Symposium hosted by the Prince of Wales Hospital, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, our independently developed Edge® Multi-Port Surgical Robotic System successfully completed its first demonstration in Hong Kong. Professor XU Abai from Zhujiang Hospital, Southern Medical University, as an invited guest, particularly shared the breakthrough clinical application achievements of the Edge® Surgical Robotic System in the hospital, which aroused great attention and heated discussions among the attending experts. ⚡As one of China's first tertiary hospitals to introduce the Edge® Surgical Robotic System, Zhujiang Hospital has successfully established a " Zhujiang Model" for high-quality hospital development empowered by surgical robotics. Since late November 2023, the hospital has completed over 750 Edge® robotic procedures across multiple departments including urology, gynecology, and general surgery, with urological surgeries exceeding 620 cases. Notably, the hospital has achieved several landmark global and national firsts🏆, including: ✅ World's first robot-assisted totally laparoscopic sigmoid neobladder reconstruction ✅ China's first single-arm single-port robotic recurrent liver cancer resection ✅ China's first augmented reality-navigated single-arm single-port robotic liver cancer resection Meanwhile, the hospital has also partnered with us to establish three major AI robotics centers dedicated to clinical applications and technical training of surgical robots. This makes it the world's first medical institution to simultaneously accomplish both remote multi-port and remote single-port robotic surgeries. During the presentation, Professor Xu Abai particularly emphasized that the Edge Cloud® telesurgery system delivers exceptionally smooth operation with zero latency, truly achieving an ‘immersive’ remote surgical experience. Professor NG Chi Fai, an authoritative urology expert in Asia and faculty member at The Chinese University of Hong Kong's Department of Surgery, evaluated the Edge® surgical robot and confirmed its operational feedback and visual clarity fully meet international standards.
